Founded by passionate community members in Newcastle in 1992, we’ve grown into a leading not-for-profit service provider throughout Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland, Hunter Region, and the Central Coast.

In 2023, we proudly merged with Early Links, professionals in allied health and early intervention teaching who support over 1,400 children and youth.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Registered Psychologist with a heart for paediatrics and a belief in early, meaningful intervention. With flexibility to work from our Kurri Kurri and/or Muswellbrook office, this role offers autonomy, variety, and strong professional backing. 

 

You will provide comprehensive psychological assessment and intervention to individuals across various age groups with significant physical, developmental, and psychosocial disabilities—doing work that truly changes lives.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with families, carers, teachers, medical professionals and internal stakeholders to support children with developmental delays, children at risk of developing a developmental delay or people of any age who have a disability.
  • Deliver evidence-based psychological interventions and comprehensive assessments, in line with professional and ethical standards.
  • Apply a holistic, practical, and family-centred approach with a strong focus on inclusion.
  • Provide consultancy and support to members of the client's broader care team.
  • Maintain professional registration and ongoing development.

About You

You’re a thoughtful, collaborative clinician who combines expertise with empathy and heart. You’ll bring:

  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based psychological interventions.
  • Experience conducting assessments and interventions with children across a range of settings (e.g. home, early childhood setting, school, community, clinic).
  • Experience in family-centred and strengths-based early intervention approaches.
  • Understanding of a transdisciplinary team models and Key Worker responsibilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, consultation, and negotiation skills.

Essential Requirements

  • Tertiary Degree qualification in Psychology
  • Current registration with AHPRA
  • Current driver's licence
  • Willingness to obtain prior to commencement:
    • Working with Children Check (paid employment)
    • NDIS Worker Screening Check
    • NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
    • First Aid & CPR certification
